Half-Life: Blue Shift
Have you always wanted to play through the Black Mesa facility as one
of the security guards from Half-Life? Your wishes have been answered
with Half-Life: Blue Shift! Developed by Gearbox Software, the developer
of the award-winning Half-Life add-on Opposing Force, Blue Shift
introduces a whole new Half-Life episode to the series! More maps, more
puzzles, and more highly-addicting gameplay awaits you, so what are you
waiting for? Stray up that helmet, grab your sidearm and get going!
In Half-Life: Blue Shift, you play Barney Calhoun, who as a security
guard has access to far more areas that Gordon Freeman ever did! Find
out more about the Alien invasion and explore new areas of the Black
Mesa Research Facility that you never knew existed in over 30 levels of
action!
One of Half-Life: Blue Shift's biggest selling points has to be the
"High Definition Pack", a graphics upgrade for Half-Life, which adds
visually enhanced player and weapon models. The models, and their
respective animations, contain double the amount of polygons over their
original versions. Many of the weapons have been re-skinned, but
perform identically to their Half-Life counterparts.
