Portal Enemies
There are a few enemies that you will encounter. Since you don't have
any means of defending yourself you will have to use your wits to
deactivate or avoid these hazards.

Turrets
A sleek and stylish automatic gun
Much like the Combine's turrets, these will automatically fire at you
when you are in their line of sight. They have notable lasers they use
for targeting, and can be used to see which direction the turret is
facing. Unlike Combine turrets they are very vocal, and will often chat
to the player in a lilting voice that masks their otherwise vicious
manner. Be careful where you place your portals as they can track and
shoot you through them. |

Security Orb
Eye see you...
These mechanical arms are stationary, but can still track you with their
lasers. After an audible warning they will "lock-on” and shoot a deadly
rocket in your direction. Though it is slow moving the rocket will kill
you in one hit, so be mindful. It does have the useful ability to
destroy glass windows, so learn to manipulate it's firing direction to
allow you to progress. |
