Portal Storyline

Waking up in an unknown facility, you find yourself at the behest of a unknown computer voice that informs you of your task; to work your way through the various puzzles using the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, a Gravity Gun-esque weapon that can create portals in space that the player can travel between. Though at first it seems as though you are just a simple lab rat being observed during a test, progressing through the rooms begins to show that not everything is as it seems. Who is controlling this experiment? Is there anyway out? And will you get any cake by the end?
